Everybody has the
right to survive the coronavirus pandemic! This high quality facial mask
is available now to all children, not only for those who are known to be sick.
Don't wait until it
is too late, it's not worth it to navigate through the mixed messages
of our government officials. There is very good research and a reason
why most countries, and a few of the United States which are beginning to get the virus under control, now require facial masks to help protect there
citizens while in public settings.
There is very good research to support requiring facial masks to help protect all citizens, not just the essential workforce. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings...(see the link here): https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/cloth-face-cover.html A recent report by
public health experts for the conservative-leaning American Enterprise
Institute (AEI) was unequivocal: “everyone, including people without
symptoms, should be encouraged to wear non-medical fabric face masks
while in public.” The CDC recommendations do specify that face masks and cloth face
coverings should not be placed on anyone younger than 2. There are a few
reasons for this. Babies’ airways are small, so breathing through a
mask can be pretty damn hard for them — and could even increase their risk of suffocation.
Additionally, the likelihood that babies and toddlers are willing to 1)
keep masks on their little faces and 2) do so without constantly
touching them is basically zilch.
A protective mask is not intended to replace other measures to stop the community spread of COVID-19. Please maintain best practices, including social distancing, proper hand washing with soap and water, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol when soap and water are not available, avoid touching your face and sterilize surfaces regularly.
We are all in this together. Let us continue to show support for those combating this crisis on the front line. Avoid crowds, don't patronize businesses that do not require employees and customers to wear proper protection-including masks and that have safety measures in place. Stay at home whenever possible and stay safe!
